Brad Pearson Egg

This bead is about 1.3″ on the long axis. I made it during a class with Brad Pearson, who is an excellent teacher. Much larger than I normally work, but I really like how it came out.  This bead was made using Effetre soda-lime glass on a Nortel Minor Burner.

My lampwork ‘studio’

Below is a picture of my lampwork area. My husband built the vent hood which has double fans and a combination of incandescent and flourescent lights mounted on the inside.  In addition to the two fans mounted inside the hood, there is also a box fan on the exterior which boosts the ventilation.

Plunged Bubble Beads and EDP

Here I experiemented with plunged bubbles (upper left) multiple stacked dots (upper right), silvered ivory stringer mixed with sky ble on a black bead (a la Corina Tettinger) and some rubino oro encased string used to make roses, which look more like blobs here.

Lampwork / Glass Bead Making
